GIVING BACK

To our people, our planet and our communities.

Biosphere Certified: WildPlay is honoured to be a Biosphere Certified sustainable business. Created by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI) in connection with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Biosphere Certification recognizes businesses with leading sustainable models and good practices.

1% For the Planet: We are champions for people getting active in nature, and our community programs support that mission by sharing the fruit of our labour with the communities we serve.

1% of all Extreme Adventure Course purchases goes towards the preservation and restoration of our planet.

Climb for a Cause Days: Each season, WildPlay Parks donates a portion of Adventure Course revenue on certain days to support local charities in the communities we serve. Keep an eye on our social media for upcoming Climb for a Cause Days!

Since 2023, Climb for a Cause Days have raised over $20,000 for different non-profits!

Over $150,000 Donated in 2022!

1% For The Planet
Did you know WildPlay is a 1% For The Planet organization? As champions for the environment and getting active in nature, we donate 1% of all Extreme Adventure Course purchases towards the preservation and restoration of our planet. This year, our U.S. parks donated to Surfrider Foundation and our Canadian parks to Ancient Forest Alliance. These organizations are dedicated to protecting our oceans and shorelines, and conserving British Columbia’s old growth forests.

Naked Bungy
Bare bums battled mental health stigma for our 16th year of WildPlay Nanaimo's Naked Bungy event back in March of 2022! 160 naked jumpers fundraised over $100,000 for Mental Health Recovery Partners (MHRP) on Vancouver Island. MHRP provides life-saving mental health programs, including peer support and wellness recovery action plan programs! Learn more about MHRP's services here.

Toss The Boss
Corporate teams from across British Columbia raised money and nominated their head honchos to get tossed from WildPlay Nanaimo's infamous bungy bridge for our second annual Toss The Boss event. Many brave bosses came out and bungy jumped, raising over $51,000 for the Victoria and Nanaimo Brain Injury Societies!

Sharing the Fruit in 2022
Everyone should have the right to play. This is why WildPlay has donated hundreds of free passes to Women’s Transition Homes, LGBTQ+ youth organizations, Big Brothers and Sisters, and many other non-profit, community based organizations last year. Our goal is to remove economic barriers and ensure all humans have the opportunity for a WildPlay adventure!
